Rider Waite Tarot Cards for Divination

Rider Waite Tarot has set the standard for hundreds of other tarot decks, which follow the archetypal images created by Pamela Colman Smith in 1909 under the direction of Arthur Edward Waite. This edition includes Smith’s original hand drawn titles. A unique feature of the Rider Waite deck, and one of the of the principal reasons for its enduring popularity, is that all of the cards, including the Minor Arcana, depict full scenes with figures and symbols. Prior to the Rider Waite Tarot, the pip cards of almost all tarot decks were marked only with the arrangement of the suit signs: swords, wands, cups, and coins, or pentacles. The pictorial images on all the cards allow interpretations without the need to repeatedly consult explanatory text. The innovative Minor Arcana, and artist Pamela Colman Smiths ability to capture the subtleties of emotion and experience have made the Rider Waite Tarot a model for the designs of many tarot packs. The cards were first published in December, 1909, by the publisher William Rider & Son of London.
  • TAROT CARDS are one of the most popularly used tools of divination in the world, while not as simple as some other methods, like pendulums or tea leaves, the Rider Waite Tarot has drawn people into it's magic for decades.
  • THE RIDER WAITE TAROT is composed of seventy-eight cards or Arcana. The term Arcana is derived from the Latin Arcanum, which means "secret". It directs one to a hidden meaning, a mystery defying rationality, and appears appropriate to us to the extent that we are using the Tarot not as entertainment but as a game charged with an inexplicit meaning that we must gradually uncover.
  • TAROT IS THE STORYBOOK of our life, the mirror to our soul, and the key to our inner wisdom. Every spiritual lesson we meet in our live can be found in the seventy-eight Tarot cards, and when we consult the Tarot, we'll get shown the exact lessons we need to learn and master to live an inspired life.
  • RELIABLE QUALITY – Durable high quality 350 GSM paper ensures the deck can be used and kept for a long time.  The surface of the card is smooth and resilient, and one can easily shuffle and push cards. An excellent tarot deck set will always give people a profound feeling in the interpretation of divination.

Treat your Tarot deck like a sacred object. Decks can be well worn and well loved, but they should always be respected. When doing a reading for someone else, you should be the person shuffling and picking the cards so that no one else touches your deck. When you're done pulling cards, cleanse your cards. The more you care for the energy of your deck, the more accurate your readings will be!
